Baby Austin arrived Monday night weighing in at 3.4kgs. Congratulations to Ross and Katie on the safe arrival of their new little boy!

A spectacular flight to beautiful Mt Mulligan. Flight time was 2.6 hours return from Atherton.

Sunday’s weather was perfect for a flight to “The Ayers Rock of Far North Queensland”……..Mt Mulligan.

Video of the flying to be had while it’s chucking it down in Cairns. A great time had by all, with pilots from Airlie beach and Mackay joining in the fun!

Despite the rainy forecast on Sunday, we headed out to the Rex to cleanup, mow the lawn and tidy up the edge of launch. Recent rain has meant Ron’s mowing efforts haven’t lasted as long as usual!
We also installed a new sign, with contact details for visiting pilots to get in touch with us so they can get the latest conditions and local rules. Thanks to Brod, Barney, Uwe, Brett, Kev and Bob for their hard work!

Many thanks to Brett for his help and advice with packing the parachutes and to Louise for her help on the flying fox and for allowing the Club to use the facility.

Inkerman Hill trip is on again! Weekend of April 14th and 15th. As a weather back-up, we have 12th and 13th of May. Camping is free at the roadhouse at the base of the hill. Please let Brett or Bob know if you are interested in going!

We have an exciting new venue for our parachute repack night, which is coming up Friday the 2nd of March. It will be much more realistic, as well as being lots of fun. Pizza and club drinks afterwards. Bring your parachute!! 6pm start, if you are not there, we are going to start without you!
